Rebecca Yarros’s Empyrean series currently has three published main novels: Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm. They form one continuous story following Violet Sorrengail, so publication order is also the required reading order.
The main series is planned for five books, but Books Four and Five are not yet part of the published sequence. A separately announced Empyrean companion is not Book Four and does not change the three-book order below.
How to choose: Begin with Fourth Wing, continue directly to Iron Flame, and read Onyx Storm third. Do not start with a sequel or substitute a special edition, graphic adaptation, boxed set, or companion product for one of the numbered novels.
