The characters must spend sustained time together because circumstances make separation difficult, impractical, or impossible. A brief meeting usually is not enough.
Does forced proximity always include only one bed?
No. One bed is a specific version. Shared travel, work assignments, storms, captivity, magical bonds, and survival situations can create the same pressure.
